Juan B. Echeverria

Juan B. Echeverria, 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on June 24, 1942, in Pharr, Texas; a son of the late Juvencio and Maximina Echeverria.

On June 5, 1961, he married Agustina (Flores) Echeverria in San Juan, Texas. They had shared 63 wonderful years together before her passing on February 23, 2024.

Juan began working at an early age, moving to Michigan at 15, to work for Gladiolas Flowers. In the mid-1960s, he and his wife settled in Lebanon, where he spent many years in the construction field before retiring in 2012 from Briggs Plumbing in Flora.

A devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon, Juan carried a deep compassion for children battling illness and generously supported St. Jude Children’s Hospital. He found joy in listening to music from the 60s and 70s, watching classic action and western films, going out to eat, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Juan (Tammy) Echeverria of Lebanon, Sylvia Echeverria of Lebanon, and San Juanita (Bradley) Allen of Lebanon; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Tino Echeverria of Pharr, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Juan was preceded in death by two sons, Carlos Echeverria and Mario Echeverria; grandson, Juan “Johnny” Echeverria; and numerous siblings.

Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon.
