James Thomas Ayers, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on April 4, 1945, in Lebanon, a son of the late, Edward L. and Viola A. (Lloyd) Ayers Collins.
Tom proudly served in the Indiana National Guard. He spent many years working as an engineer at Peerless Pump Company.
Tom was an avid guitar player and loved to play older country music. He loved Pomeranian dogs and always had a dog in the house.
Survivors include his son, Michael T. (Tiffany) Ayers of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Dean and Olivia Ayers; and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his stepfather, J. Merritt Collins and his brothers, Robert “Jack” Ayers and Jerry E. Ayers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
