James “Jim” McCormack

James “Jim” McCormack of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Homewood Health Campus, Lebanon, Indiana. Jim was born November 7th, 1931 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of the late Paul and Henrietta (Reinholtz) McCormack. 

 

Jim graduated from New Castle High School. He married Audrey (Adams) McCormack, she precedes him in death, April 8, 2002. Jim later married Phyllis (Weltner) McCormack, she also precedes him in death in 2022. He was a salesman and sales manager for Shumate Business Forms in Lebanon until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ulen Country Club, Kiwanis Club and Elks Club all of Lebanon, Indiana.

 

Jim was such a gentle natured person who loved spending time with his family very much! He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and especially biking. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around with everyone. 

 

Survivors include sons, Kenneth (Beth) McCormack, Lebanon, Jerry McCormack, Lebanon and Michael (Ann) McCormack, Dahlonega, GA; daughters, Julie (Chris) Thrine, Colorado Springs, CO and Jan Almond of Grabill, IN; sister, Kathy Stucker of Illinois; step- daughter, Nancy (Kenny) Kincaid, Lebanon, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald McCormack; brother in-law, Jim Stucker; daughter in-law, Babette McCormack; and grandson, Scott Almond.

 

The family would like to thank the staff at Homewood Health Campus for their care and loving support.

Family and friends will gather Monday, January 5th, 2026 for visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
