Frankfort Police Investigate Stabbing

On May 31, 2026, at approximately 6:27 pm., Frankfort Police responded to the 200 block of Avery St. for a report of a stabbing. The juvenile suspect is in custody. There is no further danger to the public.

The preliminary investigation reveals the juvenile suspect was in the act of slashing a tire with a box cutter when confronted by an adult. That adult received a minor injury to their arm. The juvenile suspect has injuries that appear to be caused from their hand slipping on the box cutter while attempting to slash the tire.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the apprehension of the juvenile who had fled the area. FPD will continue to investigate but will not provide additional updates. All injuries will be treated by medical professionals, and the juvenile will face charges.
