Frankfort Man Arrested Following Road Rage Investigation

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 4:21 pm., a Frankfort Police Sergeant was flagged down regarding a victim reporting a man pointed a gun at him. The sergeant requested additional units and conducted a traffic stop. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Steven D. Smith of Frankfort on the following requested charges: Pointing a Firearm, a Level 6 Felony, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, a Level 5 Felony and Operating While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. The Clinton County Prosecutor will review the arrest and make final determination on official charges.
