Deputy Prosecuting Attorney T.K. Morris has declared his candidacy for Boone County Superior Court 2 Judge. Morris, a lifelong Republican with over 22 years of prosecutorial experience, will run in the May 2026 Republican primary for the seat being vacated by retiring Judge Bruce Petit.
Morris has received the full endorsement of current Boone County Prosecutor Kent Eastwood, who cited Morris's extensive trial experience, ethical standards, and temperament as key qualifications for the position.
"T.K. Morris is a stellar prosecutor who has tried more than 100 jury trials in Indiana," said Prosecutor Eastwood. "I know first-hand he has the integrity, temperament and experience to do the job well and he will make an excellent judge."
Morris joined the Boone County Prosecutor's Office in 2019 after being recruited from his previous position as a leading prosecutor of major felonies in Marion County. During his tenure with Boone County, he has been part of the successful prosecution of numerous high-profile cases, including:
- Securing a murder conviction against Damoine Wilcoxson with a maximum sentence
- Leading the prosecution of murderer Zachariah Wright, resulting in a life sentence
- Successfully prosecuting triple murderer Chad Grimball, who received a 185-year sentence
A 15-year resident of Boone County, Morris lives with his wife Natasha and their three children in Zionsville.
