Creative Kids Making A Difference!

One of the exciting projects for the 5th grade D.A.R.E. program at Thorntown Elementary this year was to design a D.A.R.E.-themed license plate!

To inspire creativity, Deputy Jesse Boggs, School Resource Officer, gave students a special challenge: the winning design would be turned into a real novelty plate. The idea sparked excitement across the school, and the students’ creativity truly shined!

Deputy Boggs received the finished plates featuring the overall winning design by Ryleigh Grant.  He proudly presented Ryleigh with her very own plate to take home — and placed the other on the front of his patrol car for everyone to see!
