During Tuesday’s meeting of the Clinton County Commissioners, the Commissioners unanimously voted to reject the rezoning of 714.55 acres for a proposed data center. This decision came after Liz Stitzel, director of the Area Plan Commission, presented a “favorable” recommendation from the January 6 commission meeting. County Commissioners explained their denial was due to concerns about the negative impact on nearby property owners and the petitioner, Logix Reality LLC, failing to negotiate the 14 proposed commitments.
