Clinton County Department Heads Tour New Annex Building

Clinton County department heads and elected officials got an exclusive walk-through of the new County Annex building. The facility, currently under construction at the corner of Main and Washington Streets, is expected to be complete by late spring or early summer.

Spanning 41,925 square feet across three stories, the building will offer ample space for various county departments and will better meet the growing needs of Clinton County. Auditor Britt Ostler is excited about the new space. “It’s so bright and accommodating. Not only will it provide us with more space, but it seems to be a lot more user friendly for those doing business with us.”

The walk-through allowed department heads to observe the ongoing progress of the building and familiarize themselves with the layout and features, including new office spaces, conference rooms, and public service areas.

“The new building is full of modern, accessible spaces,” says Jordan Brewer, President of the Clinton County Commissioners. “We are excited to see the project near completion and look forward to welcoming our citizens to this new facility.”

Crews are currently building out the platform in the commissioners' meeting room, installing floor and wall tiles in the restrooms, and insulating duct work throughout the building. Crews will finish the exterior brick installation on the north side of the building when the weather warms a bit.
