Charles David Houghton

Charles David Houghton (Chuck) passed away on June 26th. He was born in Emporia, Kansas on May 10, 1942 to Fred T. and Anna (Riddle) Haughton. He moved to Indiana in 1952 when his father and brother-in-law were transferred from their jobs. Chuck was the youngest of six children, all have preceded him in death. 

Chuck was married to Marilyn (Dean) Haughton, she preceded him in death. They raised five boys in blended family.

Chuck worked for Frito-Lay for over 30 years. He also had worked at Shumate Printing in Lebanon. He loved to travel, together he and Marilyn travelled all over the United States with their boys. Later the travelled to Europe and Alaska. He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed going to Las Vegas for slot tournaments. 

Surviving are sons Phillip Houghton, Brad Reese and Steve Kettery; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sons, Chuck Reese and Dave Kettery; siblings, Helen (Loren) Fichner, Ilene (Paul) Burris, Fred A. (Betty), Jim (Sandy), Bill (Carol) Haughton; daughter-in-law, Beverly Kettery; nephew Col. James Fichner who was like a brother to Chuck growing up. 

Chuck requested no services, he will be laid to rest along with his wife in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
