Carol Joan Thomas

Carol Joan Thomas, 85, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Lebanon on December 1, 1940, the daughter of the late Buren Eugene and Anna Louise (Isenhower) Rodgers.

From 1960–1975, she was married to Gene Thomas.

Carol was a 1959 graduate of Lebanon High School. She had worked in the banking industry for many years, including AFNB Indianapolis, Boone County State Bank, Lakeside Bank and Oak Brook Bank Chicago. She also worked at Indianapolis Power & Light for 10 years and Pearson Education in Lebanon for 15 years until her retirement March 30, 2013.

She was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and recently of Hope Community Church in Lebanon. Carol’s interests included IndyCar Racing and traveling.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Bethany Thomas, Paul Thomas, and Michaela Thomas; two brothers, Jim Rodgers of Florida and Les (Janet) Rodgers of Lebanon; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Todd Thomas and a grandson, Jacob Thomas.

Graveside Services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery, west of Lebanon, in June 2026, with details to follow. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her arrangements for cremation.
