Boyer Sent Back To Prison

Brian “Joey” Boyer, a 44-year-old former band director at Lebanon High School, is going back to prison because he watched pornography.

Boyer had pleaded guilty in May 2022 to soliciting a minor for intercourse. He began a four-year sentence, was released in November 2022 to serve the rest on probation and was specifically told not to possess or view pornography.

However, authorities found inappropriate images on his phone on January 23rd, according to court documents. He was immediately arrested and has been held without bond at the Ern K. Hudson Justice Center ever since.

Boyer appeared before Boone Superior Court I Judge Matthew Kincaid. During the hearing to determine if his probation should be revoked, Boyer admitted to viewing pornography. Judge Kincaid revoked his probation and ordered him to serve the remaining 1,180 days of his sentence in full. He received credit for 25 days served and 8.3 days for good time.
