Boone Receives Funds For Road Projects

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced $179.8 million in federal grants to 50 cities, towns and counties in rural portions of the state. The money is to be used for local road and bridge improvements and sidewalk projects. A combined $5.1 million in federal funding awarded will build a new roundabout in Zionsville and bridge near Jamestown. Boone County Director of Administration Nick Parr and his team applied for the grants in the fall, when he was the county’s highway director.
