Boone County Sheriff's Department Announce Scam Alert

The Boone County Sheriff's Department have received reports of individuals calling and claiming to be with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, requesting money to bond someone out of jail. These callers may ask for payment through credit cards, Venmo, Apple Pay, or other electronic payment methods.

Please be aware: The Boone County Sheriff’s Office will not call and request bond payments over the phone through these methods. All bond payments can be made directly at the jail.
