Boone County Commissioners Approve Auditor Resolution; County Council Takes No Action
The Boone County Board of Commissioners today approved the resolution concerning the potential removal of the County Auditor from office by a 2-0 vote. Commissioner Tim Beyer recused himself from consideration of the resolution in light of the ongoing allegations involving him.
The Boone County Council subsequently convened its scheduled special meeting but took no action on the resolution. No motion was made and no vote occurred.
As a result, the resolution has not received approval from both governing bodies, and no petition has been authorized through this process at this time.
The County will provide additional information regarding next steps when it is available and appropriate for public release.
