BCSSI Holds Annual Gathering

Community members, partners, and staff gathered to reflect on an incredible year of growth, connection, and impact—while enjoying a delicious breakfast from Jawbone BBQ.

In her annual update, Executive Director Anita Bowen reminded those gathered that while we can’t be all things to all people, BCSSI and BATS are here for all seasons of life—and in 2025, BCSSI proudly served approximately 2,298 unique individuals across Boone County.

BCSSI were also proud to recognize outstanding members of our community:

 Volunteer of the Year: Gerald & Donna Newman

 Spirit of Community Award: Boone County Cancer Society

 Margaret A. Corson Distinguished Senior Award: Tami Richardson

BCSSI also celebrated dedicated staff for their milestone years of service:

 20 Years: Gene Keck
