Mr. Arthur “Art” Massing, 69, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was born December 20, 1955, in Lebanon, a son of the late Donald and Janice (Stewart) Massing.
Art met his wife, Linda McClaine, at the Lucky Steer in Lebanon, and they were married on July 2, 1976, in the Methodist Church in Whitestown. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2019.
A 1974 graduate of Thorntown High School, Art worked for many years with Simon Property Group in Technical Services and later with CPB/Parsons. He had a wealth of knowledge about tractors and farming and loved working on old farm machinery. Art enjoyed restoring historic barns and was an active member of the Indiana Barn Foundation and the Antique Tractor Club. He also loved gardening and had a passion for collecting and working with tractors.
Survivors include his son, Jay (Susan) Wood of Lebanon; daughter, Penny (Gary) Bombei of Lebanon; grandson, Sage Wood; great- grandchildren, Mila and Beau; brother, John (Monika) Massing; sister, Jackie; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Art was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Frances Carter, and sisters, Kathy Smith, Phyllis Parker, Fran Massing, and Pauline Peek.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, October 14, for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m., with Pastor Steve Vitaniemi officiating, in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
