Arrest Made In Death Investigation

   On July 18, at approximately 9:17 p.m., the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Frankfort Police Department began a joint investigation involving a victim who was found deceased from apparent gunshot wounds in a vehicle in the 800 block of S County Road 200 W. The incident began south of this location and ended just inside the Frankfort city limit. Clinton County Coroner Ed Cripe has identified the victim as 45-year-old Robert Mendoza, of Frankfort.

Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, Deputies and Officers from both agencies with assistance from Indiana State Police, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources have worked tirelessly since the incident was reported.

Two people have been arrested on the preliminary charge of Murder. They are:

24-year-old Jose Armando Castellon Garcia, of Frankfort and19-year-old Cristian Piceno Castellon, of Frankfort.
