Aritste D. Stewart

Aritste D. Stewart, 80, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on August 9, 1944, in Owensboro, Kentucky, one of fourteen siblings.

In June 2002, she was united in marriage to John R. Stewart in Las Vegas; he survives.

Aritste was raised and educated in Kentucky. She had worked as a realtor in Sebring, Florida for 20+ years prior to moving to Lebanon, Indiana.

Aritste was an artist, she especially enjoyed oil and watercolor painting. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards with her card club friends.

Survivors include her beloved husband, John R. Stewart of Lebanon; son, Greg Brooks of Sellersburg; stepsons, John R. Stewart of Lebanon and Billy Stewart of Pennsylvania; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Aritste was preceded in death by a son, Eulas Todd Brooks; stepdaughter, Tracy K. Stewart; and thirteen siblings.

No Services are planned.

Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
