2026 Zionsville Teen Academy

The Zionsville Police Teen Academy provides a fun, free and safe opportunity for children ages 11-15 to learn more about police work. The academy will offer classroom and practical instruction educating and simulating that of real police training. Participants will learn different laws and rules that apply to various situations the Zionsville Police Department officers may deal with on a regular basis. Most importantly, the purpose of the Teen Academy is to help reinforce good decision-making and leadership skills.

The academy is held at Mulberry Fields Park, Boys and Girls Club, Zionsville Police Department and other sites depending on the daily activities, weather and availability. The schedule will consist of daily physical training, classroom instruction and scenario training as well as a physical/social/team-building activity with the participants. Students will receive a Teen Academy t-shirt, pair of shorts and ball cap on the first day and will be required to wear them for instruction each day. We also highly recommend teens wear comfortable athletic shoes and bring a water bottle every day.

The academy will begin each day promptly at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. with graduation held at 6 p.m. on the last day. Participants will be provided a one-hour lunch break daily. Please remember to pack a meal Monday through Friday. 2026 Teen Academy Dates: June 8-12.
