A Boone County jury found a Richmond man guilty of attempting to meet up with a 14-year-old girl. Evan Geeslin, 61, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 5 felony. On Wednesday Geeslin was sentenced to three years in prison.

Lebanon High School welcomes Sarah Tribby as the new Head Softball Coach at Lebanon High School! Coach Tribby was approved by at the LCSC School Board meeting Tuesday evening. Coach Tribby is a proud 2019 Lebanon High School graduate and a former member of the 2016 Lebanon State Championship Softball Team. Coach Tribby is no stranger to the program; she served as an assistant with the varsity team for the last two years and led the JV squad as Head Coach last year.

Due to significant interest the January 6 th  meeting of the Clinton County Area Plan Commission will be held in the Skanta Theater inside the Frankfort Public library. On the agenda is the request to rezone 700 acres from agriculture to light industrial. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 pm.

Fright Forest recently made a donation to the Humane Society of Boone County in the amount of 300 dollars. The money came from this past year's fright event at the Boone County Fair Grounds. The Humane Society is already looking forward to bringing some of their adorable adoptables to Fright Forest’s Scare-Free Day on October 10, 2026.

With Winter Break approaching, the Lebanon Parks department is back with their Blanket Fort Contest. This is a fun activity to participate in with friends and family! Be sure to take a picture of your blanket fort and email it to parks@lebanon.in.gov . the staff will review the pictures and pick a winner (or two) to receive a prize! Pictures must be sent by January 9th.

From the Frankfort Street Department, due to the upcoming Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve holidays, this week will be the final week for regular curbside recycling. Curbside recycling will resume on Wednesday, January 7th. Need to drop off? You are welcome to bring your recycling to the Street Department during their regular business hours.
