The Witham Health Services Volunteer Organization awards three $1,000.00 scholarships to Boone County High School Seniors pursuing a continuing education or a degree program in a health-related field. The Volunteer Organization awards these scholarships annually to provide support and encouragement to the students as they begin their secondary education.
“We are thankful to be able to provide the scholarships each year, to recognize each student’s hard work and scholastic achievements and support them on their educational journey. The Witham Volunteer Organization partners with various community organizations throughout the year to fundraise for the scholarship program and those fundraiser dollars are given right back to the students of our community. It really is a win-win.” said Amy Mitchell, Director of the Witham Volunteer Organization. “We are grateful for the support of our community partners who make it possible for us to offer this program and support the students in this way each year.”
This year’s scholarship recipients are Katie Laucks, Emmerson Shepherd, and Abigail Scott. Katie will be studying Nursing at a school to be determined, Emmerson will be studying Respiratory Therapy at a school to be determined, and Abigail will be studying Nursing at the University of Southern Indiana
The Witham Volunteer Organization is proud to support the students of Boone County with these scholarships. And we wish each student the best as they pursue their education! Scholarship applications and additional information about applying are available at each High School’s Guidance Counselor’s Office.
