Lebanon High School announced today that it has accepted an invitation to join the Hoosier Heritage Conference, effective with the 2027-2028 school year. This decision follows a careful evaluation process that considered the best interests of Lebanon's students and athletic programs. The school was approached and invited to apply for membership in the Hoosier Heritage Conference, prompting administrators to thoroughly assess how this opportunity aligned with the school's long-term goals.
"This decision was not made lightly, nor did we actively pursue this opportunity," said Frank Meyer, Principal. "After careful consideration of what is best for our students and athletic programs, we determined that this move makes sense for Lebanon High School."
Lebanon High School is committed to honoring all obligations to the Sagamore Conference through the conclusion of the 2026-2027 school year. The Hoosier Heritage Conference includes Pendleton Hts., Shelbyville, Delta, New Palestine, Yorktown, Mt. Vernon, Greenfield, and New Castle.
