On Tuesday, May 20, Lebanon Community School Corporation (LCSC) proudly hosted the official groundbreaking ceremony for the much-anticipated renovation and construction project at Lebanon High School. The groundbreaking was attended by members of the LCSC School Board and Central Office Administration, representatives from Schmidt Associates (Project Architect), Meyer Najem (Project Construction Manager), Lebanon High School students and staff, and special guests from the Lebanon High School Class of 1970.
Demonstrating their lasting commitment to Lebanon High School, the Class of 1970 generously raised and donated funds to enhance the new outdoor learning space, leaving a meaningful legacy that will benefit students for years to come.
The project is designed to enhance the student experience and meet the evolving educational needs of Lebanon High School students and staff. Key features of the project include:
Redesigned cafeteria and commons area to accommodate student collaboration, large group instruction and meeting spaces, and expanded cafeteria seating.
Redesigned media center to better meet student learning needs.
Redesigned student services spaces including private and professional spaces for community mental health providers and small groups.
Redesigned administrative offices to provide better service to students and families.
A Student Activity Center to provide space for physical education, fine arts, and athletics to compete at a high level. The Student Activity Center is expected to be completed by fall 2026.
Renovated and updated locker room facilities as these spaces were not addressed in the 2010 renovations and are decades old.
The entire LHS renovation and construction project is expected to be completed by the 27–28 school year.
