HSforBC’s 12th Annual ‘Fur Ball’ Fundraiser Is February 22

Writer: Scott Carney Scott Carney

Media personality, author and cat lover K.J. McGlinn is the emcee and guest speaker for the Humane Society for Boone County’s 12th annual “Fur Ball” on February 22 at the Golf Club of Indiana.

McGlinn is well known as the Kitty Correspondent on the nationally syndicated “Pet Pals TV” show.

This year’s “Fur Ball” will be “an unforgettable evening filled with heartwarming stories and inspiring moments,” Executive Director Kristen Pulice said. “It will be a celebration of all that has been achieved by HSforBC to help our furry friends thanks to our wonderful supporters.”

Delicious Cajun food prepared by Yats and signature drinks provided by Tito’s will complement the Mardi Gras theme for the party. Exciting live and silent auctions, a wine and spirits pull, and selfie photo booth are other fun activities. Attendees are encouraged to dress in casual attire.

An online silent auction with a variety of unique items begins at noon on February 17 then continues until noon on February 23, and can be accessed online at HSforBCFurBall.givesmart.com. People do not need to have a ticket or attend the event to participate in the silent auction. It is open to anyone who registers to bid on items through the event link.

Tickets are $75 per person, $150 per couple or $600 for a table of eight people, which includes dinner and dessert in the Cardinal Room. To purchase tickets, log on to HSforBCFurBall.givesmart.com.

Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m. and the “Fur Ball” program starts at 7 p.m. Event sponsors are Dentons Bingham Greenbaum, Centier Bank, DK Pierce, Zionsville Country Kennel, Pacers Sports and Entertainment, Ridings Realty Group, McGowan Insurance Group and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Proceeds from the Humane Society’s largest annual fundraiser help HSforBC rescue and care for homeless or surrendered dogs and cats in Boone County.
