A charge has now been filed against the homeowner accused of shooting a cleaning worker who was at the wrong house. The Boone County Prosecutor's Office announced on Monday that Curt Andersen is charged with voluntary manslaughter. Andersen allegedly shot 32-year-old María Florinda Ríos Pérez De Velásquez on the morning of November 5th. She worked for a cleaning crew that arrived at the wrong address- and police say she never entered the Whitestown home where she was shot. A defense attorney of Andersen called Pérez's death a terrible tragedy, and that Andersen's actions were "fully justified" under Indiana's self-defense law.
