A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Ms. Coons will be laid to rest in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

The Boone County Sheriff's department Congratulates Owen Howe on being selected as one of 38 recipients of the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association scholarship! Owen has served as an intern with the Sheriff's office over the past year.

The Thorntown Heritage Museum will host a Memorial Day Service Monday, May 25 at the museum. The service will begin at 10am on the Museum’s front lawn. Boone County Reserve Deputy Tom Melville will be the guest speaker for the ceremony and will sing the National Anthem. Following the program, the Thorntown Heritage Museum will have an open house marking the start of its 2026 open season.
