Phyllis I. Smith, 83, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on July 29, 1942, to the late John A. Clingerman and Evelyn A. (Eames) Wells and stepfather, James Wells. On November 25, 1995, she married Harold V. Smith in Lebanon, and he preceded her in death. Phyllis worked in the cafeterias of the Lebanon and Paoli school systems. She enjoyed sewing and gardening, but above all, she treasured the time she spent with her beloved family. S

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure that will impact County Road 400 W. near Lebanon in coordination with the ongoing State Road 32 realignment project.
