Sue Carol Smock, 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. Private burial of ashes will be held at Old Union Cemetery in rural Jamestown. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her care.

Brenda Lee Black, 56, of Frankfort, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026. She was born in Elmwood, Indiana on June 4, 1969, a daughter of the late Wanda Shockley. She was a 1987 graduate of Kokomo High School. She was also a graduate of Kaplan University with a B.S. in Occupational Safety. The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure that will impact State Road 39 about 1 1/4 miles south of Lebanon. Beginning on or after Monday, May 11, CSX Transportation crews will be closing S.R. 39 near Tyre Road at the railroad crossing for repairs. Construction is anticipated to last up to one week but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
