Donald E. “Don” Sloan, 83, of Lebanon, died Thursday, April 2.  Don was born May 3, 1942 in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of the late Norman W. “Bud” and Thelma (Wright) Sloan.  He was a graduate of the Perry Central High School and married Beverly Sue Edwards on December 8, 1962. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2005.   Don owned and operated the Sloan Agency in Lebanon for fifty-one years. He was a member of the Ulen Country Club and enjoyed playing golf for many years.

Jacquline Ruth Clemens, 80, passed away at her home in Lebanon, Indiana, on Thursday, April 2, 2026. She was born in Clinton County, Indiana, on January 19, 1946; a daughter of the late Carl and Esther (Colcord) Eavey. She was married and divorced from the late Kenneth L. Clemens. Jackie graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964. She worked as a waitress and cook for many years. She spent time at the Koala Center and several years cooking at various places around Lebanon inc

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a bridge closure that will impact U.S. 421 south of Rossville.  Beginning on or after Wednesday, April 15, the U.S. 421 bridge over Cripe Run will close for maintenance and repairs. This is located between County Road 700 N. and C.R. 800 N. Construction is anticipated to last through August but is weather-dependent and subject to change. The official detour around the closure follows State Road 26 to S.R. 75, back to S.R.
