Peggy Jo Vaughn, 76, of Thorntown, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Peggy was born on October 16, 1949, in Brazil, IN, to Bob and Margaret Anderson. She graduated from Thorntown High School in 1967. Peggy married Don Vaughn, originally from Kentucky, on July 11, 1970, and he survives. Together they built their life in Thorntown, IN. A Memorial Day Service will be held Monday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m., at the Veterans Memorial on the south side of the Clinton County Courthouse. Benches will be provided; attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs. Following the service lunch will follow at the VFW, 309 N. Main St. Frankfort. In case of rain, the service will be held at Day & Genda Funeral Home, 608 N. Main Street Frankfort.
