Writer's picture: Scott Carney Scott Carney

The state House has voted 64-30 along party lines to approve new rules for voting by mail. The bill requires voters to give more identification information to get a mail-in ballot, including a copy of a government-issued identification card or their driver's license number and last four digits of their Social Security number. If Governor Holcomb signs the bill, it will take effect July 1.
