Frankfort Clerk - Treasurer Now Mayor

Republican leaders have selected Frankfort's new mayor. Long-time clerk-treasurer Judy Sheets emerged as the winner during a special caucus this weekend, according to Clinton County Republican chairman Jim Moyer. Sheets will finish Mayor Chris McBarnes' term when he leaves office March 2. Moyer said another caucus will need to be held to select the person who will fill Sheets' clerk-treasurer seat.
