Boone County Extension Homemakers Bake Auction

Thursday night the Boone County Extension Homemakers held their annual Bake Auction. Community members donated items to be sold, and those funds will be used for scholarships and to cover the cost of the annual open show held during the Boone County Fair. One highlight of the auction is the selling of the Queens entry. This year fair queen Adelaide Jones offered two items for sale. A pineapple pie and a black magic cake. When the bidding ended the total raised for these two items was $3,500.00 dollars.

The Queens Court also got to sell their items during the auction. 4th runner-up Kasey Dullin's chocolate cake went for 500 dollars. 3rd runner-up Bailey Keyes peach pie sold for 300 dollars. 2nd runner-up Mckynzye White's chocolate chip cookies went for 200 dollars and first runner-up Ava Susong's cupcakes sold for 400 dollars.
